{35 at 35: An Amazing Birthday Cake, Check!}

Last weekend was my daughter's first birthday. With the help of Mrs Jones, I managed to make her an amazing birthday cake, another item I can successfully tick off my 35 at 35 list. The theme was 'afternoon tea' and I had thought I would have bunting, bows or buttons as my design for the cake.

We ended up choosing buttons, and I'm so happy with the end result. It took a wee while... from 10am until 4pm... but by the end of the day I had the most amazing cake to take home with me. I'm so proud of myself!

I don't know what's happened to the camera on my iPhone, but there seems to have been an issue uploading the photos to the computer, so apologies for the picture quality, but you get the idea! There will be more photographs from the actual party as soon as I can get them organised!

I'd highly recommend Mrs Jones as a teacher if anyone in Glasgow is looking to go on any baking courses! I quite fancy the Retro Chic Cupcakes course...

Totally agree... perhaps with a cup of tea too!

Concentrating on getting the icing just right!

  4. Thank you all :-)
    Price depends on the course, and prices are on her website. Think I've linked to it in the post. I thought it was great value for money. I'm confident I could now make a cake all on my own.
    Hoping to make my sister's wedding cake for her, but will definitely need to practice some more!
