{Get Organised}

Glasgow Mummy

It was one of my new year's resolutions to 'get organised' and I'm making good progress, but I still have a long way to go.

I'm trying to tackle different areas each week, and one of these on my list is my jewellery storage, or lack of it. I was never really a fan of wearing jewellery but I've started wearing it more frequently.

At the moment I have my jewellery in a plastic drawer in my wardrobe, but it's jam-packed and I can't access it very easily and as such I end up not wearing it. My other issue is that I need the storage to be at a toddler-free height otherwise my two little magpies would take it all!! I do have a lovely leather jewellery box that was a gift to me on my wedding day and in this I have some special pieces, but not my every day items.

I'm been scouring Pinterest for ideas and inspiration and have come up with the following:

Bex (Olive Dragonfly) also has a similar vintage storage unit on the wall of her bedroom, but I can't find the link to it on her blog.

I love the idea of reusing ice cube trays for separating out earrings.

Rebecca over at Florence Finds has even shared some different craft projects for creating a gold patterned tray

Are you a wearer of jewellery? How do you store yours?

    I got a great new jewellery storage system for Christmas - it has a similar section to those ice cube trays which I use for earrings, (prettier but more expensive) http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QYypwMEtm3w/UPXq9NtGHBI/AAAAAAAAOHk/I4g_LS8dZEY/s1600/IMG_4143.jpg

  2. Hi,
    I have a wall in my bedroom painted white, with about 100 curtain style hooks (the plastic coated ones) put in all over it. It means no tangled jewellery and I can see what I actually have!
